For all Blended Learning classes, the American Red Cross requires your online coursework to be completed prior to the in-person skills session. By regulatory and curriculum standards, students who do not present verifiable proof of completion cannot be admitted to the classroom and will forfeit their registration fee.

To ensure your check-in goes smoothly, please review these certification standards:

• Acceptable Proof: You must present an official, verifiable American Red Cross completion certificate featuring a valid QR code or verification ID. You can show a digital PDF copy on your phone or bring a printed copy to class.

• Strict No-Screenshot Policy: Informal screenshots of progress screens, completed course modules, or external training platforms are not valid and will not be accepted as proof.

• Organization Requirement: Blue Ridge Rescue & Safety is an authorized American Red Cross provider. We cannot accept certifications or online prerequisites completed through the American Heart Association (AHA) or any other organization.

• Course Level Requirement: You must complete the exact online module assigned for your specific class. Completing a different course level (such as a healthcare-level Basic Life Support / BLS module for a standard workplace CPR/First Aid class) does not fulfill the requirement.

• External Red Cross Certificates: If you completed the correct, matching American Red Cross module through a different link or licensed provider, your official Red Cross certificate is perfectly acceptable.

• Red Cross rules strictly prohibit admittance to in-person training without verified proof of completed online modules. As an authorized provider, I cannot waive this requirementStudents who arrive without their official Red Cross completion certificate cannot join the session and forfeit their registration fee. If this happens, you must register and pay for a future in-person session. Any progress you finished online remains saved in the Red Cross system; once completed, your digital certificate is valid for any corresponding skills session.

Blended learning is a hybrid format. You complete the interactive online coursework and videos at your own pace before we meet. This significantly reduces our in-person classroom time, allowing us to focus the live session entirely on hands-on practical skills.

Yes. As an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, I provide OSHA-compliant certification that meets national workplace, regulatory, and childcare licensing requirements.

The Red Cross offers different levels of certification based on your role. My current public and on-demand sessions focus on Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED for the general community, workplace, and childcare providers. If you are a healthcare professional, you likely require Basic Life Support (BLS). Please verify your employer’s specific credentialing requirements before booking, as general CPR does not meet specialized clinical mandates.

Public classes are hosted at local partner venues in Bluemont and the surrounding Northern Virginia region. For On-Demand group sessions, I bring the training directly to your business, gym, or facility, or we can coordinate a third-party space.

Public seats are reserved online at the time of booking via credit or debit card. On-Demand groups are invoiced through a secure platform once a date is confirmed; we accept all major credit cards and ACH transfers. Yes. For group sessions, I bring all CPR and first aid training equipment directly to your site. Submit an inquiry through our Group/Private Training page, and we will coordinate the required room layout and audiovisual needs.

Yes. We are committed to making life-saving skills accessible. While the Red Cross requires students to perform certain physical maneuvers (such as chest compressions on the floor) to earn an official certification card, we can discuss reasonable accommodations or non-certification audit options. If you have 6 or more people, an group training request is typically the most efficient option. It allows you to select a dedicated date and train your entire team together at your location. If you only have 1 to 5 staff members, registering them for an upcoming Public Class on our schedule is generally the most cost-effective choice.

Student health and safety is a priority. We adhere strictly to American Red Cross decontamination protocols. All manikins are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with medical-grade disinfectant between sessions, and every participant is provided with individual, single-use breathing barriers and fresh disposable lungs.
